Nature Walk

Join the Manistee Recreation Association for it's 3rd walk in a yearly series as we wander through the trails of the forest. Our walkers will meet at 5:30 PM on Thursday, October 22nd in the parking area across from the entrance to Orchard Beach State Park. All participants will receive an MRA Walking Program t-shirt. We'll explore the forest floor and enjoy the last of the fall colors, hopeful to spot some friendly critters as we make our way leisurely along the trails.

We'll continue our walking program next month, November 19th and then again December 17th - those months we'll bundle up and have new things to explore.

Great Response for Swim Lessons!

We are thrilled with the response for swim lessons for kids and adults. At this time we have maxed out in our number of registrants for kid's swimming lessons. We will, however, be happy to take your name and put you on a waiting list should an opening occur, or reserve a spot for you in our next session of swim lessons in the new year.

MRA Board to celebrate Sandy's 22 years!

The Manistee Recreation Association was fortunate to have Sandy Saylor serving this community for 22 years! For many years Sandy worked side by side with 3 different directors before taking over the leadership of the MRA herself. For the past ten years as director, she played a major role in planning recreational activities for young and old alike throughout Manistee county. This Monday evening the MRA board of directors will be celebrating her years of commitment and dedication to this organization.
Our sincere thanks to Sandy Saylor!
